الأسماء الحسنى
A living mandala for the transmitted beautiful names: form, motion, occurrence, and meaning held apart so each can be examined.

A searchable field of 99 name-sigils, their meanings, visual behaviors, and occurrence counts under the site’s stated rule.
Choose a familiar name, search by meaning, or let the full mandala show how contrasting attributes sit beside one another.
The canonical list belongs to devotional tradition. Text occurrence counts measure word-forms and are not claims about every theological use.
01 · The reading instrument
Search for the quality you are trying to understand, or begin with a Name already familiar in prayer.
The Opener unfolds; the Withholder contracts. Motion is an editorial interpretation of meaning, not part of the transmitted Name.
Occurrence links return you to verses. A zero means the exact word-form was not found under this counting rule—not that the attribute is absent.
Ninety-nine living seals, each moving as its meaning moves: the Opener unfolds, the Withholder contracts, the Loving circles as a pair, the Avenger strikes, the Hidden waits behind veils, the One stands utterly alone, and the Most Patient breathes slower than anything else on this site.
Gold for beauty, lapis for majesty, crimson for severity. Click any seal to meet its Name.
The whole book left to right in reading order, one row per Name, every naming a tick. Above, the tide of beauty (gold) against majesty (lapis); brighter columns are Medinan suras. Hover to read, click a row to meet its Name: watch Ar-Rahman crowd into the Meccan suras (sixteen times in Maryam alone) and thin out afterward.
Begin with the plain gloss. It gives the sigil a direction without pretending one English phrase exhausts a Name.
Counts and first references show where the form sounds in the Quran, with limits stated beside the number.
Shared-verse links reveal recurring companionship. They are a reading route, not a ranking of importance.
