Five comparisons organize this instrument. The center answers only to itself.
The opening names the Ever-Living and Sustainer; the close names the Most High and Most Great.
Neither sleep nor drowsiness overtakes Him; preserving the heavens and earth does not weary Him.
They belong to Him in the first clause and are embraced by the Kursi in its counterpart.
Intercession depends on permission; created knowledge depends on what He wills.
The keystone holds what is before them and what is behind them.
