what a channel is
Every verse in the book was read by a language model, which gave it a score from 0 to 1 on each of six qualities: how strongly mercy sounds in this verse, how strongly judgment, how much dread of the last day, how much command, how charged the voice is, how warm or bleak. A 0 means the quality is not there at all; a 1 means it dominates the verse. Every picture on this page is built from those scores, averaged over a sura or smoothed across neighbouring verses.
These are model judgements about how a verse sounds. They are not measurements of the Arabic, and they are not a claim about what a verse means: a verse can score low on mercy and still be about mercy. Read the page as a weather map. It can tell you where to look; only the verses themselves can tell you what is there.
